Day 6: Night, Day 7: Tokyo

Day 6: after leaving Ayumi and Makoto, I went to the area where Albert and the rest of Tanuki were staying, Asakusa. After eating my combini dinner, Albert took me to Asakusa Cannon Temple. The area around it was full of closed shops and stalls, so I can only imagine how busy it would've been only a few hours before. We went to see the temple and walked through the gardens, all beautifully lit up for the night.

Day 7: Tokyo

After being able to sleep in, I went with The Tanuki group to Akihabara, the playground for anyone that likes anime and gaming. Albert and I spent about 2 hours looking for the retrogame shop vallend Super Potato, but once we found it, it was worth it all! All kinds of old games and also soundtracks.
From there the group went on to the Kabuki theatre and we were able to watch a play. Even though I could only understand the basics, the play itself was so perfectly executed, that even I could understand it. It was a very special experience. After this we went to Tokyo tower. For a kid that's afraid of heights I've been pretty high up past few days. The first observatory floor wasn't too bad, and the view was pretty nice. But after that it was mostly waiting in line for the special observatory. Which was a 250metres high and very close to the windows all around. After Tokyo tower Albert, Ludo, Tim and I grabbed a quick bite at the convenience store and from there went our seperate ways. It was fun to meet some new people and get back together with some good friends :)
